Other than that, if you don't know which is which, post a pic and ask. The best way to know which Mak is which is to look at the hallmark and stamps. There are also white parade holsters (sometimes asociated with the navy). Black holsters can be found from Bulgaria and East Germany. The East Germans typically used burgandy color.
